Lean Six Sigma
The implementation of operational excellence and Lean Six Sigma programmes is fraught with pitfalls which can easily result in eventual abandonment of the programmes, if the right guidance is absent. Forward Vision is experienced in developing continuous improvement programmes for a variety of organizations. We work closely with each organization to establish suitable Lean Six Sigma (LSS) strategy to meet their goals and then build capacity in the organization to implement the strategy. Forward Vision provides coaching for champions and process managers to manage and direct the LSS programme. We develop Black Belts and Green Belts to enable them to lead complex projects to deliver improvement in product quality. A feature of our LSS program is mentoring support after training to ensure that the candidates are using the right tools to make rapid progress on project completion and accreditation.
Lean Six Sigma Programme Format
The Forward Vision Lean Six Sigma curriculum covers the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control) body of knowledge for Black Belts and Green Belts and is in line with the International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC) recommended curriculum. This course follows a format of 5-day blocks (one session per month), and links to a formal accreditation process. Training style throughout is participative, encouraging discussion, group activities, hands-on exercises, and regular reviews of project progress and support. Within this Lean Six Sigma training course participants receive exposure to tools and methods that are necessary to lead successful DMAIC improvement projects.
Lean Six Sigma Programme Overview
- A modular Lean Six Sigma programme, which covers the full DMAIC methodology to develop Champions, Black Belts and Green Belts to deliver complex operational excellence projects
- Train Green and Black Belts to be capable of leading and supporting a cross-functional team on improvement projects
- Apply statistical analysis tools to solve problems
- Train Black Belts to use MINITAB software for operational excellence projects
- Coaching and mentoring Black Belt candidates to achieve accreditation
After the completion on the theoretical training, Forward Vision will continue to provide coaching and mentoring support to the candidates. This will ensure that new tools are appropriately used and rapid progress is made towards project completion and accreditation
Green Belt and Black Belt Accreditation
The accreditation process incorporates undertaking a project, an examination, and project presentation to senior management. The examination is the Certified Black Belt (CBB) Exam, of 4 hour duration and is conducted independently by the International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC). Successful completion of the project as well as the examination will lead to the Black Belt Certification.
